Your Health in Cyprus
Cyprus is a relatively safe place to visit, in terms of health. The standards of health care are high. Most minor aliments can be treated at chemists. Staff are well trained and it is possible to purchase most medicines here. You will not need any inoculations to visit Cyprus, although it is wise to keep your tetanus injection up to date. Food and Water
Water is safe to drink in all of the Cities except Famagusta. Although it may have a slightly salty taste in some of the areas reclaimed from the sea. Bottled water is available and very popular. In the Troodos Mountains, people often fill their own bottles from roadside Springs.
As with many restaurants, if it is popular and looks clean it is generally safe to eat there. Take care with shellfish and avoid undercooked meat.
